_Tool holders & Collets

The main purpose of the tool holders is to protect machines from heat generated during the Formdrill process. All holders have a special heat sink for dissipating excess heat generated by repetitive drilling. The Formdrill tool holder also ensures correct clamping of the Formdrill tools and will increase tool life, safety and reliability of Formdrill tooling.

 

 We have 2 main types of holders for multiple types of machine spindles:

_Tool holders with small cooling disc

These holders have a cooling disk diam 74.0mm. They are compatible

with ER25 or FD430E collets.

Available types:

 

- FDMC2 (MT#2)

- FDCYL430 (cylindrical shaft 20.0mm.)

- FDBT30

- FDCAT30

- FDISO30-1 (DIN 2080)

- FDISO30-2 (DIN 69871)

- FDHSK63-A

- FDHSK63-F

 

Formdrill clamping Range:

 

1.8mm. – 14.9mm.

 

Collets Range:

 

- FD430E6: 1.8 – 3.9mm. Formdrills

- FD430E8: 4.0 – 7.9mm. Formdrills

- FD430E10: 8.0 – 9.9mm. Formdrills

- FD430E12: 10.0 – 12.9mm. Formdrills

- FD430E14: 13.0 – 14.9mm. Formdrills

These holders have a cooling disk diam 120.0mm.
They are compatible with ER32 or FD470E collets.

_Tool holders with large cooling disc

Available types:

 

- FDMC3 (MT#3)

- FDCYL470 (cylindrical shaft 20.0mm.)

- FDBT40

- FDCAT40

- FDISO40-1 (DIN 2080)

- FDISO40-2 (DIN 69871)

We always advise to use high precision, heat treated collets for Formdrill tools
